Purpose-built Discharge Lounge opens at Macclesfield Hospital to improve patient flow

A newly refurbished Discharge Lounge has opened at Macclesfield Hospital, designed to improve patient flow across the hospital by freeing up beds as quickly as possible each day. Designed with patient comfort in mind, the new facility offers a welcoming environment for those preparing to go home and includes a large seating area and three private rooms for patients who need to remain in bed or require isolation due to infection.
